A roof for culture: Aid in Preserving Ndre Mjeda’s Legacy in Kukël

A roof for culture – this is how we begin an initiative that will bring back to Kukël (Shkodër) and to the Mjeda museum complex, a space dedicated to culture, art, and sustainable economy.

All possible efforts are needed to restore the roof of the old building located next to Ndre Mjeda’s museum complex, with the aim of returning this space to the local community with a new, active life. It was from this building that the famous poem “Andrra e Jetës” (“The Dream of Life”) was inspired, and the rehabilitation of the roof honors the traditional architecture of the area. This is also how our dream begins — to transform the Mjeda complex into one of the most meaningful cultural landmarks of Zadrima.

Invited by Dom Nikë Ukgjini, who manages the museum space, we are made aware of the deteriorated building next to it, whose roof is in urgent need of restoration. Therefore, we invite each one of you to contribute via the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXBQlz6Oar8 and to learn more details about the plans and future of the building after the roof’s restoration.
